About Tree Savers

The greatest threat to Eastern and Carolina Hemlock trees is the invasive pest: Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA).  HWA was imported accidentally from the Osaka region of Japan in the early 1940's.  With no native predator, this insect quickly spread uninhibited and became an aggressive invasive species with the capability of destroying entire forests and ecosystems.

Tree Savers was founded by Jayme Boniewicz (formerly Longo), president of Forever Green Environmental Services and
John Tucci, president of Lake Savers LLC.  Together they shared a vision where nature could solve its problems far more safely and effectively than a lifetime of toxic pesticides applications.
